Carpe diem @Feuerbach

Reservation

We advise to make a reservation at the Feuerbach.

Ambience

The Feuerbach in Berlin Steglitz is a gastronomic combination of bar, restaurant and a small beer garden similar outdoor area. There are also some tables in the entrance area which remind me of French or Italian bistros due to their proximity to the street.

The different areas are clearly separated from each other so that one always knows what to “get into” once the place has been found.

The bar offers all kinds of alcoholic delicacies, but also coffee variations worth mentioning. Especially in the context of extensive Sunday breakfast activities these were always suitable to shake the spirits again – even if it went a little later the day before…;-)

Service

The staff is friendly, quick and attentive, but by no means obtrusive. The food, especially the current offers, is served quickly and with a lot of love. You can clearly see that the kitchen enjoys its work.  The restaurant, bar and beer garden areas invite you to linger, while the service is consistently positive.

I found the fact that an in-house WLan is available in the Feuerbach particularly pleasant. On request one gets the corresponding password and already one is inside in the “WorldWideWeb”, this feels I substantially more pleasant than elsewhere with annoying Hotspots to have to annoy.

Quality and Taste

Even if the fact that Feuerbach always comes up with all kinds of high-quality delicacies, the “Salat Feuerbach” is still my very special favourite.

The salad is always fresh, the dressing unique and the composition with the combination of fresh avocado pieces, small “fried” potato cubes, sheep cheese and pumpkin seeds is always a treat for the palate.

According to the menu there are also orange fillets, but as a meat lover I like to exchange them for freshly roasted turkey pieces to patch the salad a little bit according to my ideas…;-)

The plate is always decorated with skill and devotion and the interaction of the ingredients refers to the ingenuity of the chef – making simple things remarkable.

To the meals in the Feuerbach always a basket with fresh baguette and dark box bread is served, dry slices, as in some pizzerias, one will search here in vain thank God…

In addition to the salad there was of course also a harmonizing wine, in this case a recommendation of the Feuerbach team member “Alexander”, a 2010er Domain de Bisconte from FR, in any case a noteworthy drop with engaging nature…

The price/performance ratio in the Feuerbach is balanced for Berlin conditions and also for Steglitz, it fits to the quality offered and to the good service.

Negative

I haven’t noticed anything negative in the Feuerbach until today.

Although – unfortunately they changed the salad dressing – the salad used to be served with fruity raspberry vinegar – that’s what I miss!
